Past, Present, and Future

There is a long lasting relationship among SPAWAR, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and the founders of Nexgen Integration that dates back as far as 1987 in providing solutions to enhance awareness and increase efficiency for the protection and safety of their facilities and sponsors.

A request by the Archdiocese of Saint Louis to improve the safety of the parking lots and outer perimeters of the Rigali Center Complex, led to the first deployment of our NGEN4 High Definition IP Surveillance Solution MRSE. Touting 6 Megapixel EXIR Long Range IP Bullet Cameras, a 6 Megapixel 360 Degree Quad-view IP Fisheye Camera, local and remote real-time recording, and secured wireless connection, the NGEN4 provides a highly sophisticated surveillance network.

The City of Cleveland Heights – A very forward thinking community, began in 2012 deploying MRSE (mobile remote surveillance enclosure) units through-out the primary entertainment and business districts of the community. Now with several areas of coverage and over 200 active cameras continuously monitored by city law enforcement they have increased safety and crime prevention with reductions in crime as high as 60% in areas of deployment.

For over a decade NexGen has designed and provided required upgrades and updates to an aged digital recording system for US Army Base Fort Leonard Wood. Today, one of the most sophisticated integrated packages the EDVSN (Enterprise Digital Video Surveillance Network) has been developed and deployed by Nexgen.  Working closely with the equipment manufacturers, and the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES), and after vigorous testing for security against unauthorized access under the US Army DIACAP process, now Risk management process, products where accredited and given clearance to be deployed  and was moved to a full CON status post wide.
Request by the US Army to provide a reliable cost effective “True” remote, self-sustaining surveillance platform proved challenging but not impossible. A solution was needed that required no Utility or Communication connectivity being available as no infrastructure existed. Custom developed for the application(s) the TSS (Transportable Surveillance Sub-station) are complete with self-tracking Solar Arrays, Battery Power Plant, Video Analytics, Radar Speed Detection, License Plate Recognition systems, Encrypted Wireless Communication and semi-permanent work space.

After seeing many successful applications for remote surveillance a new request was made by SPAWAR and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) for protection of the new NCE construction site in Springfield Virginia. One of the largest Campuses to be constructed in the DC area in the last 25 years it encompasses over 90 acres. A mobile platform was developed with advanced features such as its own Solar Power Plant, Thermal Imaging Camera Technology and other customized equipment specifically tailored for the application.

Needed expansion and reach in remote applications prompted development of the Wireless Mesh Repeater Surveillance Stations (MRSS) for multiple existing and new applications. The unit is complete with Solar Power Plant, Mesh Radio System and multiple High Resolution Camera assembly configurations. Completely self-contained and re-locatable the unit offers flexibility for permanent and temporary deployment environments.

License Plate Recognition (LPR)

As technologies have advanced with the introduction of LPR equipment to Increase Safety, and Monitor vehicle traffic, a whole generation of Fixed and Semi-fixed LPR deployment enclosures has been developed. Available in Wireless versions for remote applications and in hard connection, deployments of these enclosures have taken what was primarily a portable technology for Law Enforcement Vehicles and provided 24 / 7 monitoring of critical transportation routes and facility entry points.
